From 505 Games, Ghostrunner is a new First-Person Hack and Slash and it’s coming soon. Stunning 4k graphics compliment the Cyperpunk-esque visuals, making this game very beautiful. Game play is fast-paced, with movement giving Doom vibes, albeit with a sword instead of a giant gun. Grab your sword, use your abilities, and cause chaos.
Gameplay?
Seemingly taking inspiration from the likes of Titanfall 2, Dishonored, Doom, their own games (Control), and possibly even Superhot, Ghostrunner allows you to run around killing enemies while using abilities such as wall running, slowing down time, and movement acceleration. All of which should provide varied and exciting game play.
Hack and Slash your way up Dharma Tower, the last shelter left in the world after an apocalyptic event. Ghostrunner will have you facing gun goons and enemies such as yourself with their own swords, mechs, force field wielders and plenty more. Add all that to the “move or die” gameplay mentality, you’re sure to always have something to do, and something to kill.
“One-hit one-kill mechanics make combat fast and intense. Use your superior mobility (and frequent checkpoints!) to engage in a never-ending dance with death fearlessly.” -Slipgate Ironworks, one of the developers, describing Ghostrunner and it’s game play.
Ghostrunner also has the benefit of being a cheaper priced game than most other games today. At only $29.99, most people should be able to pick this up quickly. Furthermore, steam is offering the game 20% off for pre-order bring the price down even more. Click here to take advantage of the deal!
