Marvelous Europe has revealed the release date for their fantasy fighting game Granblue Fantasy: Versus. The hotly anticipated game will come to digital and physical marketplace’s in March 2020 and will be available exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
With this announcement, Marvelous Europe also gave information on the European availability of the premium deluxe version of Granblue Fantasy: Versus. Sadly due to time constraints and production delays this version of the game has been cancelled.
Scott Emson, PR & Community Manager for Marvelous Europe gave a brief statement for the reasons into the cancellation of the premium edition.
“The reason for this cancellation is due to ongoing time constraints and production issues with the physical Premium Edition. Scott goes on to say; “We know that a lot of Granblue Fantasy fans are eager for this physical Premium Edition and, as fans ourselves, it is with deep regret that we will not be able to produce this edition for Europe. We would like to apologise to those affected and we thank you for your continued support with Granblue Fantasy: Versus.”
Granblue Fantasy: Versus will have three versions available upon release. The standard edition will see a physical retail release whilst two other editions will be available exclusively for digital downloads. These two editions are known as – The Digital Character Pass Set and the Digital Deluxe Edition. The details of what’s included within both of these editions are as follows;
Digital Character Pass Set:
- Digital copy of Granblue Fantasy: Versus for the PlayStation 4
- Code to redeem one of the following: Gold Brick (1), Sunlight Stone (1), Sephira Evolite (1) or Damascus Crystal (10) within the original Granblue Fantasy game
- PlayStation 4 Theme
- PlayStation 4 Avatar
- Character Color Pack
- Character Pass for 5 DLC Characters
- Lobby Avatar Item “Nice-Abs Power Vyrn”
Digital Deluxe Edition:
- Digital copy of Granblue Fantasy: Versus for the PlayStation 4
- Code to redeem one of the following: Gold Brick (1), Sunlight Stone (1), Sephira Evolite (1) or Damascus Crystal (10) within the original Granblue Fantasy game
- PlayStation 4 Theme
- PlayStation 4 Avatar
- Character Color Pack
- Character Pass for 5 DLC Characters
- Lobby Avatar Item “Nice-Abs Power Vyrn”
- Digital Artbook
- Digital Soundtrack
- PlayStation 4 Theme with exclusive artwork
Both the Digital Character Pass and the Digital Deluxe Edition will be exclusively available to purchase on the PlayStation Store.
As an added bonus, players who purchase any edition will also be able to redeem a code for Granblue Fantasy which will grant a wealth of in-game items. These items can be used for the browser or the mobile versions of the game and players can choose from one of the following items: Gold Brick (1), Sunlight Stone (1), Sephira Evolite (1) or Damascus Crystal (10).
The physical edition of Granblue Fantasy: Versus is available to preorder now from selected retailers in Europe and Australia. The digital premium editions will launch alongside the physical version and will be available on the PlayStation Store from March 20th, 2020, with pricing details set to be announced closer to this date.
