The surprise indie hit GreedFall, which last year celebrated one million units, is coming back with a new next gen upgrade and a whole new expansion. The pirate themed RPG enjoyed great success due to its mix of engaging storytelling and tense class based combat.
Developer Spiders studios and publisher Focus Home Interactive are bringing their swashbuckling RPG to a whole new host of players. Those who already own the title will receive the gold edition upgrade free of charge.
The new gold edition includes graphical options that allow players to experience the game at 60 FPS on
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in performance mode, and up to 4k resolution in quality mode.
The main draw of GreedFall‘s new edition is the expansion The De Vespe Conspiracy, which gives players a whole new location to explore and adventure to go on. Players will explore the new locations, which offer up new enemies to fight and new loot to plunder. Much likes its predecessor, the expansion will feature a twisting and intriguing narrative.
On top of the new content and visual improvements, players from PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be able to jump straight into the next gen version with their previous save files. Much like the core game, you will be uncovering an intriguing mystery in which you’ll meet many characters, both friend and foe.
GreedFall offers players a core RPG experience, putting player choice at the forefront with extensive character and class customization, all on top of a narrative that allows players to forge their own path. The new gold edition will be launching on PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 on June 30th, 2021.
