Natsume is bringing a new Harvest Moon game to the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, and PC titled Light of Hope.
No release date has been announced but we do have some information on the game’s story. As a player on a voyage, you soon become shipwrecked and drift towards a “Small harbor town“. From here, players will need to save the town and its lighthouse by growing crops, caring for livestock, and starting a family.
“Harvest Moon: Light of Hope will set itself apart from other Harvest Moon titles with its depth, including a robust story and clear-cut goals,” said Hiro Maekawa, President & CEO of Natsume. “We set out to create a SNES-style nostalgic game with deep and meaningful characters and events, and we are excited to have our fans play it at E3 and tell us what they think!”
To help celebrate Harvest Moon’s 20th anniversary, the development teams are re-releasing games Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Edition (Gamecube) and Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland (Playstation 2) for the Playstation 4 in the coming months. Additionally, the Nintendo 64’s Harvest Moon 64 will receive a special re-release on the Nintendo Wii U, but specific dates have yet to be announced.
The game will be playable at this year’s E3, and we have plans to check the game out on the show floor. Stay tuned to InformedPixel for more information about Harvest Moon.
Harvest Moon: Light of Hope will release for the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, and PC (Via Steam).
