Survival games are often an over looked genre in video games. More recently the genre as a whole has been more open to the casual player. With titles such as Subnautica, Minecraft and Ark being the recent staples of this, and are the “go to” games for many player.
Help Will Come Tomorrow is a new survival game that is being developed by Arclight Creations and features a tale set across the Siberian wilderness.
Set in the wake of the Russian Revolution of 1917, we take the role of the survivors of the mysterious crash of the Trans-Siberian Railway. The mixed-match group of survivors find themselves stranded in the Siberian wilderness, with only the hope that help will come tomorrow to rescue them.
Players will have to manage the survivors basic needs, as well as finding medical aid for poisoned characters and others facing frostbite or other ailments. The harsh environment is not the only challenge they face. Wolves and other creatures roam the frozen wilderness and are ready to attack any unprepared survivor.
More interestingly is that social class will play a part in the narrative, with characters facing their own prejudices whilst trying to survive. Players will be able to forge friendships as the game goes so this will play a big part in who ultimately survives.
The survivors camp can also be upgraded with a range of upgrades such as; fortified walls and upgraded tents. These upgrades serve their own purpose and aim to help the group survive that possible one day longer.
Help Will Come Tomorrow is currently scheduled to be release on April 21st, 2020. The title will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
