So there I was, having just woken up, I sat down at my desk with a cup of coffee in hand, fighting my eyelids to stay open. I open Twitter, and I see Halo Infinite trending. I open it, and I saw it, a new teaser from 343 Industries.
They had finally given us news after years of minimal news about their upcoming title Halo: Infinite. While it is in the form of a small teaser, the contents of the teaser offer a big perspective as to what we might be getting in Halo: Infinite.
The teaser starts off with a screen deciphering a transmission from what sounds like a brute. The brute starts off with saying, “The hour approaches, {static} forces occupy the ring…” They made sure that we don’t know what forces they are talking about, which could be occupying the ring that we saw in the post credits scene of Halo Wars 2.
He continues; “…within hours, it will be under hour control…” Clearly they have the intention to take control of the Halo ring, but for what reason remains unknown. “…humanity {static} will burn, their brazen defiance will be all but a memory…”
According to this, humanity is doing what humanity in the Halo universe does best, and it’s interfere with evil-doers plans, and any plan involving a Halo ring is not a good one. “…{static} no more prophets, no more lies! We stand together, brothers to the end! We are his will, we are his legacy, we are The Banished.” The transmission then ends, revealing the Banished Insignia.
I personally cannot wait to see what 343 Industries has in store for us now that we have seen this, and now I’m even more excited for the Halo: Infinite reveal next month.
