SQUARE ENIX Ltd. have announced that Nier Replicant, a game that originally launched exclusively in Japan, and was only recently released in the western world, has reached over one-million units in total sold across the globe, which is no small feat for an older game.
SQUARE ENIX wasn’t only celebrating Nier Replicant reaching a milestone in sales however, as the most recent game in the critically acclaimed Nier franchise, Nier Automata, has finally reached over six-million units sold over its lifetime, and rightfully so.
As part of the celebration for Nier Replicant, SQUARE ENIX has generously released a digital update for those of you who have the game on Steam. It offers performance optimizations for the platform, allowing you to run the game as smooth as a nice glass of wine.
The upgraded version of Nier Replicant features fully remastered visuals, refined combat, a remastered soundtrack and all-new voice dialogue. It also includes brand-new story content, extra dungeons and costumes, including multiple Nier Automata themed costumes & weapons.
SQUARE ENIX is inviting players across the globe to experience the dark, apocalyptic world that Nier Replicant has to offer. As players join a brother’s captivating quest to cure his sister of a deadly disease, a quest which will in turn make them question everything.
Nier Replicant is currently available for all Nier fans to play on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One Consoles, and PC via Steam. The game is rated PEGI 18, or rated M for Mature, +17.
