This week the Humble Bundle has an amazing line up of games that were made in Singapore! So plug in those Android devices and rev up your Steam Machines because your library of games is about to buzz with tons of interesting new titles!
Before we get going, I’ll explain what the Humble Bundle is. The Humble Bundle is a website that has bundles of games for humble prices! Bundles are sold through a “pay what you want” system. Normally, the more you pay the more games you get (this week, for example, if you pay over the average amount spent you get 4 more games, and over $12 you get 1 more game). You are also able to decide exactly where your purchase is sent, divided between the developers, charities, and the Humble Tip Jar.
The charity that gets a portion of the sales this week is Care & Share, led by Community Chest.
The first game on the list is actually available as both a desktop game and an Android app called Mooncake Shop (developed by Afzainizam Zahari) in which you get to set up a shop and bake many different kinds of mooncakes in preparation for the Moon Festival. This game has over 36 levels of fun and excitement and creates the perfect opportunity to manage and run your own virtual Mooncake shop.
The next game is called RocketBirds: Hardboiled Chicken (developed by Ratloop Asia) and comes complete with an amazing soundtrack. It’s a cinematic platformer that features full co-op and single player campaigns. You play as Hardboiled Chicken who is on a quest to wipe out the evil totalitarian penguin overlord. In the complete solo campaign you get 15 chapters, a slew of weapons, and a huge variety of puzzles; in the co-op mode you get 10 levels and 6 Budgie Commando characters. You also get multiple mini-stories to flesh out the world and explain both the background of the evil regime as well as the main protagonist, Hardboiled Chicken. The soundtrack features exclusive music composed by New World Revolution.
Next up is the 2D zombie beat’em’up called Devil’s Dare (developed by Secret Base). It supports 4 player co-op and can be played locally. This is the spiritual successor to Bitejacker. Traditional game heroes and classic movie villains are mixed together in this parody. Devil’s Dare also features a perma-death function, keeping players on their toes and always on the lookout for the undead. There’s a huge amount of variety and strategy by having 6 different unlock able characters, all with their own unique set of upgrades and skills.
For all the fans of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon, the bundle includes an entire Rainbow Six complete pack that gives you MP9-H 6, SR-25-H SP R6, BLCV Hood R6, Heavy Tac. Suit R6, and Light Tac. Suit R6.
