On November 30th, The First Tree released for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Playstation 4.
Previously available as an exclusive for the PC and Mac, The First Tree has now found its way to current generation platforms thanks to DO Games developing the port. David Wehle, the sole creator and developer of the game, has had great success with the game’s PC release. At the time of this writing, The First Tree holds a “Very Positive” review score from the Steam community.
Its emotional story features a journey of understanding. With themes such as life, death and family explored throughout a beautiful soundtrack and relaxing gameplay, it’s easy to see why The First Tree has had such an emotional impact on those who have played through it.
The First Tree was also nominated for Best Game and Best Music at the 2018 Emotional Games Awards and has been featured at gaming events like PAX West. Given the game’s already famous reputation, you should just take a look at the trailer below.
