One Piece, and Dragon Ball, and Bleach, oh my! There’s also a butt load of others, but they wouldn’t fit into my dated “Lions, and tigers, and bears” reference. WHATEVER! The weekly manga based fighter JUMP FORCE Deluxe Edition has been announced for the Nintendo Switch. Check out the trailer below!

Included in the JUMP FORCE Deluxe Edition are all characters from the main game, as well as every DLC character from the Season 1 Character Pass. This includes Majin Buu from Dragon Ball Z, Madara Uchiha from Naruto, and All Might from My Hero Academia. Over all, there are characters from 16 Weekly Shonen Jump franchises to choose from.
If you’d like to create your own character there is a story mode as well. Introduce your own hero to the Jump universe, and defend the world from an organization called the “Venoms”. This organization is led by new villains Kane and Galena, but is being countered by the “J-Force”. Both the new villains and new J-Force leader Glover are designed by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama.
That’s all well and good, but what’s new? I’m glad you asked, me. Exclusive to the Switch is a new 3v3 offline mode. Participate with up to six players in a mode where everybody controls one character on the team, and gains control of combat once there character is tagged in. I can only imagine the chaotic yelling and on the fly strategy trying to be implemented as you convince your teammates to tag you in. I personally think this mode sounds quite fun, but my excited has been hampered by SOCIAL DISTANCING! Stay safe and wash your hands, people!
The BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment published fighter released for other media back in 2019. Its recent reviews on Steam have been very positive, but sits on mixed reviews overall, if you care about that sort of thing. JUMP FORCE Deluxe Edition releases for the Nintendo Switch on August 29th, 2020. For more reviews and gaming news you can keep up to date at Informed Pixel.
