Editors Note: Updated April 8th: Previously this article incorrectly stated that KartRider Rush+ had already launched on mobile devices in March 2020. This information has now been corrected. The original article also stated some incorrect details about the contents of the game and pricing. This has also been corrected to reflect the information released by Nexon.
Are you tired of Mario Kart‘s blue shells? Are you getting frustrated over the drifting in Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled? Still waiting on a port or remake of Diddy Kong Racing? Well, there’s a new Kart game ready to compete for your time. Nexon Mobile have taken their popular KartRider franchise and brought it to mobile devices. Keeping in line with its predecessor, it looks to bring the same cartoony fun to wherever you happen to be and KartRider Rush+ is the result.
The game comes with dozens of tracks and karts to choose from, features the familiar faces of characters like Dao and Bazzi, and allows players to customise their racers with everything from clothes to decals for their karts. The game allows up to 4 players to compete against each other, and effort went into trying to make the game accessible to players of all types, from novice to expert. Like most Kart games, there is an Arcade Mode, Speed Race, and even a unique Story Mode. For most Kart games, multiplayer is the draw, and this one is no exception. You can play competitive matches, visit in-game homes and create clubs with any players you want.
Better yet, it will be available in all sorts of languages, so that should remove any barrier for entry. The game will be available globally in English, Korean, Thai, and Traditional Chinese.
KartRider Rush+ will be available on iOS and the iTunes App Store for free in the near future.
