What’s up danger? During last week’s PlayStation 5 reveal, a plethora of strong AAA games were announced for the next generation console. Perhaps the biggest of the reveals was the announcement of Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which surprised everybody when it swung onto the screen.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales is the next adventure in the Spider-Man universe that began with 2018’s PS4 exclusive of the same name. The announcement caused some confusion as to what the game would be, and it has been confirmed that not a direct sequel nor expansion, but rather a brand new standalone game.
Be Yourself.
As the title suggests, the game will continue Miles Morales’ story that began in the 2018 Spider-Man game; where Peter Parker had taken Miles’ under his wing. Its clear that Miles will begin his own journey with some special additional powers, such as invisibility and orange electricity emitting from his hands. These additions will certainly help Miles Morales stand out compared to Peter, both in aspects of gameplay and character.
The trailer makes a point of showing off the massive graphical improvements that the PlayStation 5 offers. From a thick sweat on impressive face model, to incredible weather and particle effects, it looks to utilize what the next generation has to offer. Judging from the trailer, it’s a massive improvement on its already impressive Spider-Man 2018 predecessor.
