Can’t get enough post-apocalyptic fun? Good, because it’s time to hop back into that lovely, irradiated, crumbling wasteland. Metro Exodus publisher Deep Silver has announced the release date for the game’s next DLC, Sam’s Story. This will be Metro Exodus’ second major story DLC. *Psst. Main game plot spoilers incoming*
Sam’s Story follows, you guessed it, Sam. A former U.S. Marine, now a Spartan Ranger who has worked with Colonel Miller since the nuclear war devastated Moscow. After following series protagonist Artyom to search for a world outside the Metro, Sam dreamed of returning to the U.S.
When Artyom and the Spartans discovered that Moscow was not the only city left alive after the war, Sam opted to embark homeward. Leaving the Aurora, Sam now treks through a devastated Vladivostok to find a way to return home.
Metro Exodus Sam’s Story will release on February 11, 2020. It will be available on Playstation 4, Xbox One, Epic Games Store, and Stadia. The Expansion pass includes the new DLC, otherwise it is available for standalone purchase. Included in the DLC is a new “expansive ‘sandbox survival’ level” that players can traverse freely. New characters, weapons, and mutant variants await. Yay!
