The next gaming show is Gamescom 2018, kicking off in Cologne, Germany, on August 21st, 2018. With the press show rapidly approaching, Microsoft revealed their plans for the big show.
Microsoft is bringing a total of 25 games to the show, offering a “diverse range of genres“. There is no confirmation if these games will all be playable, only that they will be brought to Gamescom in some way.
They aren’t stopping there. The company is bringing Xbox FanFest to the show along with a special episode of Inside Xbox where the team will showcase news, including new Xbox One bundles and accessories to whet your appetite. Microsoft is also promising a bunch of new surprises, so be sure to check out Informed Pixel after the show to see the announcements.
Last year, Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition which was available at select retailers for a limited time. Shortly after the announcement, pre-orders for the system quickly sold out, making it next to impossible to secure a Project Scorpio Edition. Besides that, there wasn’t a lot of “jaw-dropping” news, but we will see what Microsoft has to show off this year. Perhaps we will get a new look at Ori and the Will of the Wisps? I can hope.
The Xbox One X is available at retailers for an MSRP of $599.99 CDN. Gamescom takes place in Cologne, Germany, from August 21st to August 25th.
