As with previous years, Microsoft’s E3 2017 Press Conference will hone in on the video games, rather than talk about their console’s multimedia features.
Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, responded to tweets on Wednesday afternoon, when one tweet asking about their focus on first-party and third-party titles came into question. Spencer replied with: “I want to give our games more time on stage at E3, I sometimes feel like we rush telling the story of our games at E3.”
Since Phil Spencer took over at the company’s “Head of Xbox” position, he has always been about speaking with the gamers about what matters most: The video games. As exhibited in recent years, Microsoft’s E3 press conferences have turned into a discussion about video games, rather than a showcase about the other multimedia options of the Xbox One. This was likely because of the disastrous E3 2013 press conference, where the Xbox One was officially announced, along with their focus on delivering an “all-in-one” experience for the living room.
Microsoft’s E3 Press Conference is scheduled to take place on June 11th, 2017, at 2 PM PT.
