Classics apparently never die and the Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition is broad proof of that statement. The miniature NES system has now sold more than 1.5 Million units worldwide.
Wall Street Journal Editor Takashi Mochizuki translated one of Nintendo’s Strategy Meetings on Twitter yesterday. He states that the console has sold more than 1.5 million units and that Nintendo may be considering increasing production for the NES Classic Edition to get it into the hands of the consumers.
The system itself is hard to find at retailers, with consoles being sold out in a matter of minutes after shipments have arrived. Some believed that they would be easily obtainable after Christmas, but it is still a hard find around the world.
The NES Classic Edition is available in retail stores.
