Microsoft has announced that a new update for Halo 5: Guardians will be rolling out later this month
The new update titled “Battle of Shadow and Light” will bring back the popular Big Team Battle mode featured in past Halo games. Players will fight each other in this 8v8 gametype variant by battling it out on the maps Deadlock, Basin, Guillotine, and Recurve. These four maps are inspired by Halo maps Standoff, Valhalla, Headlong and Recurve respectively with help from the community to make them reasonably balanced for Halo 5: Guardians.
The ‘Battle of Shadow and Light’ update will also introduce 48 new REQ items for you to unlock through Halo 5’s REQ pack system. The new unlockables include an assassination, new visor, 2 new weapon types, 16 new pieces of armor, 5 weapon skins, 7 emblems and 16 new vehicle types.
Best of all, this content update will be available to players free of charge.
