In their latest official release trailer, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Brothers Games have given fans their first glimpse into the three new characters launching with Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath.
Showcasing new fatality moves and unique fighting styles, the trailer introduces two playable fan favourites, Sheeva and Fujin, and a new character from the aptly-named movie franchise, RoboCop.
Diving straight into the action, the trailer kicks off with Sheeva, surrounded by her crew. She confronts Fujin before a heated battle kicks off. In a display of her incredible strength, her signature stomps leave her opponents in a gruesome puddle of their own blood.
Fujin, who made his first appearance in Mortal Kombat 4, is shown with his new weapon: the Flying Sword. Later on in the trailer it’s revealed that he still has his Plasma Crossbow. He quickly fires glowing arrows into his enemies.
RoboCop enters with his mech and rifle. RoboCop, true to his characters nature, dons plenty of weaponry. He’s shown with a pistol and a retractable shield used to block his opponents attacks. He also uses a flamethrower attached to his wrist, a rifle and a mech unit used in one of his finishing moves.
Most notable in the trailer are what fans were most excited to see: Fatality moves. Sheeva is shown playing to the crowd by making sure her subject is well lit with stage lights. She then lifs an arcade machine and brutally stomps her opponent out.
In her move “Lend A Hand,” she rips her opponent’s arms off before beating them with them. Fujin, using his new Flying Sword, impales his target from the sky before finishing him.
Last but not least, are the truly new to the series moves from RoboCop. In what fans are calling “the crotch shot,” RoboCop launches an explosive round from his pistol that impales his opponent and explodes as he walks away, their flying limbs behind him.
