Even though the studio was recently facing many struggles, trial, and tribulations, studio GSC claimed in 2011 that they were going to stop development. The project was cancelled in 2012, and the studio super secretly released a few titles and now are resurrecting their sequel title, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2.
For those not familiar with the title, S.T.A.L.K.E.R is a spooky first-person shooter that is known for its dark themes and challenging gameplay. The game is set in a world where there was a second nuclear disaster in Chernobyl. With a story that includes supernatural influence its no wonder how this game has garnered the fame that it has. The first title to be released in this franchise was STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, and the second is a prequel title called Clear Sky. There also was a follow up title that was fully subtitled game called Call of Pripyat.
