Some information discovered in a data mine of Hi-Rez Studios’ Paladins: Champions of the Realm may confirm that the game is in development for the Nintendo Switch.
Sourced by Reddit user Marxally, the PC version of Paladins contains some rather interesting content. Pictures of Joy-Con controllers have shown up in the game’s files, as well as what appears to be a description of the Nintendo e-shop listing. The words “Nintendo eShop” are mentioned a couple times in the file, along with settings for a Haptic engine, believe to be the HD Rumble features of the Joy-Con controllers.
Hi-Rez Studios was the studio who brought us SMITE, currently available for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It is not yet known if SMITE will make it’s way to the Nintendo Switch, but with this tidbit of information, we believe Paladins: Champions of the Realm is a real possibility.
Earlier today, we reported on an image revealing that Fortnite, Overcooked 2, Fifa 19, Dragonball FighterZ, and Paladins: Champions of the Realm would be playable on the Nintendo Switch at this year’s E3. Shortly after that, reports came in from various sources, including the Korean Rating Board, confirming that Fortnite was in development for Nintendo’s portable console.
We are still a few days away until Nintendo hosts their E3 Livestream. Stay tuned to InformedPixel for up-to-date coverage of the event.
