Bandai Namco is doing something unique with the One Punch Man IP; while One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows may look similar to a typical fighting game, it will have influences from the anime that help set it apart. Bandai Namco has already explained how they plan to handle the overpowered protagonist, and their inclusion of the “Hero Arrival” mechanic should make for some interesting strategy, not to mention ferocious come-backs.
It’s also known that it will be a 3 vs. 3 fighter, with teams made up of familiar people from the anime. The first to be confirmed were Genos, Hellish Blizzard, Mumen Rider, Speed-o’-Sound Sonic and Saitama. For a better look at the fully unveiled roster, you can go here.
Bandai Namco has just announced 3 new characters that will join the roster:
- Child Emperor– A genius child with an S-Class ranking; he is the youngest member of the Hero Association and uses his intellect/inventions to fight
- Spring Mustachio– An A-Class swordsman who looks like a Machiavellian moustache-twirler, and uses a fencing sword in combat
- Sweet Mask– A fighter at the top of A-Class, this former celebrity focuses on strength as his advantage
One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is releasing on February 28th, 2020 for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
