To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the sword fighting action game series Onee Chanbara, the events of Onee Chanbara and Onee Chanbara 2 have been completely remade in full HD. The story of Aya and Saki, two sisters bound by mutual hatred and locked in a brutal fight to the death, has been revived and reimagined.
Main character designer Katsumi Enami breathes new life into the characters, making this silky-smooth 60fps high-speed action game an unmissable treat. It doesn’t matter where you are in the gaming scene, anyone will love this hack and slash.
The Onee Chanbara series puts players in control of a lone girl (or in later games, two girls with the ability to tag out) against a legion of the undead. Players guide their characters through the stages, completing tasks while hacking through enemies.
The player-character’s weapon becomes progressively covered in blood, causing their attacks to be slower and to inflict less damage, even getting stuck in enemies if it gets too bad. To prevent this, players must actively clean off their sword to keep the blood meter from filling up.
As of this article, Onee Chanbara Origin is now available for PC and PlayStation players alike, I recommend you pick up this title especially if you are a Devil May Cry fan, as this title is basically that but with anime girls in bikinis.
