It’s here. It’s finally here. All of the waiting we’ve done will be paid off oh so soon. That’s right Ladies and Gents, Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu! and Let’s Go Eevee will be arriving on our Nintendo Switch consoles tomorrow!
Pokémon Lets Go will be fulfilling the dream that fans have had for many years now; a full Pokémon home console game! The graphics are gorgeous, the setting is nostalgic and the mechanics are revolutionary. It only took twenty years but look! Pokémon are found trotting, flying and slithering around the overworld, right in front of you! Not only that but the scale of Pokémon like Onix is breathtaking, towering over your young avatar and their partner.
I’m excited to see how the Pokémon Go approach to catching Pokémon is implemented and how difficult the battles will be compared to the original Kanto games. It may prove hard to recapture everything that made the Kanto region so special twenty years on but I have faith that I will be pleasantly surprised by what the Lets Go games have to offer.
