The Pokémon Company celebrated Pokémon’s 25th anniversary by announcing some really exciting news. Including more details on New Pokémon Snap, a long awaited remake, and a brand new unique entry. Here’s what we know so far!
New Pokémon Snap
New Pokémon Snap was already revealed so there wasn’t a substantial amount of info. (If you want more info on the game click here) However, it revealed that it’s getting brand new features such as photo editing, and cool new tools that make Pokémon glow!
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Sweet Arceus, its finally announced! The Pokémon Company finally revealed Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, which are remakes of the classic Nintendo DS games, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl!
Developed by ILCA inc. and directed by the original games’ director, Yuichi Ueda, the game will have an adorable chibi 3D art style that are faithful to the DS games’ sprites. It’s planned for release late 2021.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Pokémon Legends: Arceus was announced, which is set to be the first ever open world Pokémon game. It takes place during Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl’s Sinnoh Region’s distant past. Players will create Sinnoh’s pokedex along side one of three starters, Cyndaquill, Rowlet, and Oshawott. This is planned to release early 2022.
Last but not least, The Pokémon Company announced all of these exciting titles in a 20 minute presentation, which included a nostalgic montage of Pokémon’s past.
