Nintendo has released a new gameplay trailer showcasing the evolutions for the three starter Pokemon: Popplio, Litten and Rowlett.
Rowlett, the owl Pokemon, evolves into Dartrix sporting leaf hair and matching tie. Litten evolves into Torracat, and as the name suggests, maintains it’s feline-like form. Last, but not least, is Popplio, who evolves into Brionne, a beautiful seal-type Pokemon.
The trailer also announced the new in-game Festival plaza, an area where players can enjoy various activities with other players. The plaza contains a mix of activities and shops where trainers can strengthen their Pokemon and earn valuable items. Within the plaza is a new feature titled Poke Pelago. This event allows trainers to use their unused Pokemon stored in their in-game storage system to get various rewards such as XP and items. These rewards vary from island to island, so it is encouraged to explore the regions. The full trailer can be seen below:
A demo of the game will be made available starting on October 18th, a month before the game’s official release. The demo will contain a special variant of Greninja, Ash-Greninja, which is transferable to the full version when it releases in November. Those familiar with the television series Pokemon XYZ will know this variant of Greninja due to the extreme bond that Greninja and his trainer Ash share.
Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon will release on November 18th for the Nintendo 3DS.
