Sources report that Pokemon Sun & Pokemon Moon have now sold more than 1.9 Million copies in Japan.
According to Famitsu, Pokemon Sun & Pokemon Moon have sold a whopping 1,905,107 copies within its first three days, and that is only in Japan. There aren’t any estimates regarding the sales of the games in North America or other parts of the world yet, however, the numbers should be just as, if not, more impressive.
Nintendo 3DS hardware also saw growth in Japan, with more than 110 thousand systems sold last week. This accounts for hardware sold across the Nintendo 3DS family, including the Nintendo 2DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, New Nintendo 3DS, and the New Nintendo 3DS XL.
Apparently, Pokemon remains to be a scorching item all over the world, ever since it’s original release in 1996, with Pokemon Red & Pokemon Blue. According to Wikipedia, the series has done so well, that it is considered one of the best-selling game franchises of all time, amassing a whopping 279 million units sold throughout its lifetime.
Pokemon Sun & Pokemon Moon are available for the Nintendo 2DS and Nintendo 3DS.
