As some of you may know, Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, has had a game streaming service called Project xCloud in the works for a while now. Well an announcement has delivered some fantastic news regarding the service.
It has been announced that come September 2020, those of us who have Xbox Gamepass Ultimate will have Project xCloud bundled along with it at no additional cost, enabling us to play our games wherever and whenever we want.
With Project xCloud being bundled with Xbox Gamepass, you will be able to have access to a library of over 100 games on your phone, or tablet. This includes current games like Halo: The Master Chief Collection and future games like Halo Infinite.
Since Xbox Live connects across devices, you will also be able to play with over 100-million Xbox Live players around the world, whether it’s in your house or on the train.
With that said, if you don’t have a PC or an Xbox, all first party XBOX games will be available on Gamepass day one, so if you really want to play that fancy new Halo game coming, you will also be able to play it on your phone day one.
You—as a gamer—will have the power of the Xbox in the palm of your hands, no longer being locked to the living room couch or computer desk. Get ready Stadia, your death comes soon.
