The Playstation 4 may be receiving one of the industry’s best-selling games in December, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
The first evidence of the rumor came from Sony’s servers, as spotted by a user from PSNProfiles Forums. The information found was the game’s content ID for the Playstation Store, as well as an image showing the PUBG name. This was found after the Korean Ratings Board posted the game for Playstation 4, showing that the game was due to release on Sony’s platform after all.
Fans are speculating that the game would release in December, one year after PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds debut on Xbox. With that, Geoff Keighley’s Game Awards take place on December 6th, 2018, where an official announcement should take place, given that the sources are considered as fact.
PUBG’s Playstation 4 debut means the Xbox One would lose one of it’s console exclusives — A major one at that. It is unknown at this time if the game will support cross-network gameplay, as the only current game to support it is Epic Games’ Fortnite.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available for the Xbox One and PC (Via Steam).
