The Quake Champions closed beta will kick off next week. ID Software also announced a new character that will be playable during the game’s beta.
Starting on April 6th, 2017, Quake Champions will open it’s doors to a select group of testers who registered on Quake.com. Shortly after, more players will be invited to participate, but Bethesda has yet to announced how many gamers that will be. Fans who have not yet registered for the closed beta can do so here.
Also announced, Anarki will return in Quake Champions as a playable character. From Quake III Arena, Quake veterans may remember him from his speed, as he packs his trusty hoverboard, he can dash around the map faster than most of the other characters. His active ability titled Health Injection, instantly rewards himself with a quick-heal, whereas his passive ability, Hoverboard Air Control allows players to take advantage of his mobility by sprinting around the map by strafe-jumping and turning mid-air faster than other characters.
Quake Champions is scheduled to release later this year for the PC.
