Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption will be backwards compatible with the Xbox One on July 8th, 2016.
Gamers who own a copy of Red Dead Redemption for the Xbox 360, either digitally or physically, will be able to play it on their Xbox One this Friday. If you don’t own a copy of Red Dead Redemption yet, the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale, which we reported on this morning, currently lists the game at 75% off for Xbox Live Gold Subscribers.
Earlier this year, Microsoft had accidentally released Red Dead Redemption as part of their backwards compatible library but was quickly taken down as the game was still in testing.
Red Dead Redemption is currently available for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
