miHoYo, developers of Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd have announced the opening of their applications to participate in their closed beta for their new upcoming title, Tears of Themis.
Genres of previous miHoYo titles have included hack and slash for Honkai Impact 3rd and Action role-play for Genshin Impact, but this time miHoYo are venturing into the “Romance Detective” genre for Tears of Themis.
Tears of Themis follows the story of a young lawyer as she navigates her way through the Themis law firm and the vast world of Stellis City, with well designed artwork/CG settings and characters. Players can expect to encounter various mysteries and get involved in expansive and complicated court cases with varying plotlines.
During the main plot, your key objective will be to investigate crimes, with the main goal of bring criminals to justice. With this element of Court Case gameplay, Tears of Themis promises in depth and detail-oriented gameplay mechanics for collecting and investigating evidence.
This level of investigative gameplay will also be coupled with character interactions, as the player encounters and creates new personal relationships as you play through each case.
Tears of Themis is set to fully release later in 2021 on both iOS and Google Play stores. Registration began on April 19th, 2021 with the closed beta to start on May 8th, 2021. If you’d like to register for the the game’s beta, you can do so on miHoYo’s website.
