Rocket League is receiving the Xbox One X Enhanced treatment ahead of its inclusion in the Xbox Game Pass library yesterday.
The announcement came from Microsoft’s own Inside Xbox segment, where Psyonix Game Director Scott Rudi confirmed that the team was working on an Xbox One X Enhancement patch for the game. There were no details on what the enhancements would include. We would assume it would feature 4K HDR support for Xbox One X users, along with support for further graphical options, but the particular details have yet to be announced.
Psyonix’s Rocket League is one of the few games that support cross-platform play. Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC owners can play online with each other while the Playstation 4’s version will only support cross-platform play with PC users. Last Month, Sony was under fire from the gaming community regarding their lack of support for cross-platform play with other consoles. This started with the release of Fortnite for the Nintendo Switch when Playstation 4 users found that they were unable to link their Playstation 4 Epic Games account with other platforms due to restrictions on Sony’s side.
Rocket League is available for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
