Bungie’s next entry in the Destiny Universe may be called Destiny II: Forge of Hope.
The information comes from Reddit, where a user who claims to have insider information from “the Administrative ranks of Bungie” as their source. The game is scheduled to arrive in November for the Xbox One, Project Scorpio, Playstation 4, Playstation 4 PRO and finally, PC. If true, this is the first time that Destiny will ship on PC platforms, something that was planned for the original game but was since scrapped.
The source mentions that events will transpire every couple of months, similar to the events hosted in Blizzard’s Overwatch. However, exclusive to Destiny, the events will contain a mix of “new narrative paths and new game play mechanics,” making it sound as if different game modes and plot details will become available as the events are released.
More information, including potential story spoilers, have also been shared, but we will avoid posting those in the interest of our readers. If you wish to read it in full detail, please see the posting on Reddit.
As per usual, take all of this information with a grain of salt. If the details turn out to be true, we would expect an announcement arrive in June, during Sony’s E3 Press Conference as the game’s publishers, Activision, hold a multi-year publishing deal with the company.
Destiny is available for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, and Playstation 4.
