We may have a release date for God of War, is a retailer’s listing is to be believed.
According to the Portuguese gaming retailer known as Gaming Replay, Sony’s new God of War title is expected to launch on September 14th, 2017; At least in that region. While it’s possible that this could just be a placeholder date for the game, it isn’t out of the realm of possibility that this would be the game’s official release date. Since Wccftech noticed the leaked release date, the retailer has since changed the date to “2017 TBC”.
Last year, Sony surprised fans with a live gameplay look at Santa Monica Studios’ next title, God of War. Moving away from the traditional hack and slash style of the previous God of War titles, the new game, supposedly releasing later this year, takes a third-person adventure approach, similar to the likes of the Tomb Raider or Uncharted series.
As E3 approaches, more rumors may be surfacing from the depths of the internet. As always, we caution our readers that these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt unless the rumor contains concrete evidence. This wouldn’t be the first time that a retailer’s listing as been wrong.
God of War is rumored to release on September 14th, 2017, as an exclusive for the Playstation 4.
