Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts 3 may not be released on the Xbox One.
The rumor starts with the game being removed from Xbox Japan’s official website. Since it’s removal, many fans have been speculating that the developers have dropped the Xbox One from its initial scope. Despite this, the game is still available for preorder at multiple different outlets including the Microsoft Store.
Since its reveal during E3 2013, we haven’t heard much information about the game’s development. Besides little gameplay footage shown at other expos, details regarding the game’s release date have yet to be known. The most recent announcement involves Walt Disney’s Big Hero 6 being included in Kingdom Hearts 3 in some way.
While the removal of the game from Xbox Japan’s official web page can be construed as a “bug,” this rumor should be taken with a grain of salt. We have reached out to Square Enix for further comment on its release.
Kingdom Hearts 3 has no release window but it will be released for the Xbox One and Playstation 4.
