The Xbox Elite Controller, a controller designed with professional gamers in mind, may see a revision this year.
The rumor comes from The Verge’s editor Tom Warren, who made a tweet regarding the new Xbox Elite Controller yesterday afternoon. According to him, the Xbox Elite Controller, codenamed Washburn, releases in October for $149.99 USD.

Released in 2015, the Elite Controller was available to the masses, and presumably sold very well. The controllers were in high demand for the first few months of release. There was so much demand for the controllers that they were spotted on Ebay for $300 USD, near double what they were listed for at retail.
Microsoft is preparing to showcase games and hardware during Gamescom 2018 and PAX West 2018 later this month. Perhaps we will see an announcement at one of these events.
The Xbox Elite Controller is available at select retailers.
