Having initially released on June 11th, 2020, the weapon-based fighter title, Samurai Shodown developed by SNK, Yuki Enterprise, Hamster Corporation and MORE, will soon be making its way to PC.
Along with the title’s release, players will also see the introduction of the game’s latest Season 3 DLC character Amakusa, who has come to define the series since the first Samurai Shodown released back in 1993.
Accompanying this news, SNK have announced a brand-new team for the upcoming ‘The King of Fighters XV.’ The team will consist of three fighters, Ryo Sakazaki, Robert Garcia and King.
Ryo, the son of Takuma Sakazaki and owner of his dojo for Karate spent most of his childhood training and preparing his body, so much to the point, that people nicknamed him ‘The Invincible Dragon.’
Robert, the heir to the Garcia foundation in Italy joined the dojo despite his father telling him not to. He is the assistant instructor for the Kyokugenryu school of Karate and Ryo’s best friend.
King has mastered her own form of Muay Thai and is the owner of a bar named Illusion. She chooses to join the team known as ‘Art of Fighting’ after receiving an invitation off Ryo.
This is the first time the team has fought together since ‘The King of Fighters 2000’ and with this new team comes a brand-new story with multiple endings. The Samurai Shodown team also confirmed at a fourth DLC character would be making their way to the game in the coming year.
