During Bethesda’s E3 conference tonight, a video was shown in regards to Skyrim for the Nintendo Switch, showcasing a unique ability to utilize Amiibos in order to change the character and a few basic mechanics of the gameplay.
This was shown through utilization of a Breath of the Wild Link Amiibo being tapped onto the NFC reader of the Nintendo Switch, and the character becoming playable in game through unique gear.
Another neat thing that was alluded to was the use of motion controls for items such as the bow and arrow.
This is a new innovation for Skyrim, adding onto the idea of mods through integration of the Nintendo Switch’s Amiibo reading abilities.
