Rebellion’s Iconic Sniper Elite Franchise enters a new dimension with the launch of Sniper Elite VR. Players can jump into the boots of an Italian resistance veteran using their wits, stealth and precision aim to repel the invading axis forces.
In partnership with Just add water and Coatsink, Rebellion have crafted a fresh new take on their long running franchise.
Fight Under Pressure
In this new built from the ground up entry into the franchise, players will need to take advantage of the games intuitive locomotion controls. VR brings a whole new perspective to the franchise with highly detailed weapons models and bullet ballistics, forcing players to fully immerse themselves in the experience to complete their mission.
The first person VR perspective adds a level of tension not possible in the previous entries, as players will need to learn to manipulate their weapons in order to chamber rounds and change magazines. This is all whilst dodging bullets.
Play Your Way
Along with using your trusty rifle to dispatch your enemies, you’ll also be able to sneak through. Use supressed weapons to avoid raising the alarm or waiting for a loud noise to cover your rifle shots as you pick off enemies. Much like previous entries in the franchise, missions have a semi sandbox experience, with each level allowing them to create their own tactical opportunities and handle missions in the way they see fit.
If things get heated, you can use your vast arsenal to go guns blazing with shotguns, machine guns and even dual wield handguns. However you like to tackle missions, Sniper Elite VR has something for you.
X-ray Makes A Bloody Return
Among all the new feature brought with this new perspective, the iconic X-ray bullet cam makes its squishy return, allowing you to hit various vital organs. This of course adds a extra layer of splatter to the visceral combat.
