SEGA just announced Sonic Colors Ultimate, a remaster of the Nintendo Wii classic with some pretty cool new features. There will be plenty of news to unpack, so lets boost our way into this!
Sega has confirmed that the remaster will contain stunning new visuals, a new mode, gameplay enhancements and so much more! The game will come with a 2-part animated special called Rise of the Wisps, with episode 1 releasing this summer.
The digital deluxe edition will include early access, a soundtrack, gold and silver cosmetics. It will also Include Sonic movie related content such as player icons, and lightning effects from the movie. The physical edition will include a baby sonic key chain from the Sonic Movie.
Sonic Colors was originally a 2010 platform video game published by Sega on Nintendo Wii. It follows Sonic as he’s trying to stop evil Dr. Eggman from enslaving an alien race with mysterious powers. It used the same gameplay mechanics as Sonic Unleashed’s day stages, while adding new features. It released to positive reception from both critics and fans.
Sonic Colors Ultimate will release on September 7th, 2021 for the Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Epic Games store. It’s now available for pre-order.
