Fans of the Spyro series will need to wait a couple more months as Spyro Reignited Trilogy has been pushed back to November 13th, 2018.
Announced in a blog post on Activision’s website, game developer Toys for Bob announced that they need a bit more time to bring the trilogy to retail. No information behind the reason for the delay was announced except for “the Trilogy needs more love and care”.
“Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyro trilogy after all these years,” said Paul Yan, Co-Studio Head for Toys for Bob. “We’re deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018. I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care. In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait.”
The game’s announcement happened in April, ahead of rumors and leaks that circulated around the web. Right now, the game is slated for an Xbox One and Playstation 4 release, however there are rumors that the game is slated to hit the Nintendo Switch in the near future.
