The force beckons for your return, as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launches today on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Brought to us by Respawn Entertainment, Lucasfilm Games, and Electronic Arts, the critically acclaimed sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has us returning as Cal Kestis. Once a Padawan of the force, Cal is now returning as a formidable Jedi Knight in this thrilling sequel of the Jedi series.
The Story So Far…
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor picks the story up five years after the events of Fallen Order, with Cal evading the Empire’s ever-lasting pursuit. Cal will be pushed to the edge, testing his limits and force powers more than ever before, as he faces off against new and old foes alike. Luckily, old allies like Cere Junda, Greez Dritus, and new ones like Bode Akuna (seen in the gameplay trailer above) will be at Cal’s side in this epic sequel. Last but certainly not least, we cannot forget about BD-1, Cal’s trusty BD unit droid!
Cal still has many tricks and powers to master, even if he has grown substantially since we last saw him in Fallen Order. While not many details were given ahead of release, we know that we can expect new skill trees, lightsaber customization options, and breathtaking force abilities that should come in clutch in our quest to survive. You can still teach a Jedi Knight new tricks, it seems!
Respawn Entertainment has contributed an undeniable amount of work to improve the overall quality of Star Wars games recently. The Jedi series has had incredible success, raising the bar higher for future Star Wars video game entries. Jedi: Survivor is shaping up to be an unforgettable sequel, and potentially game of the year.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is now available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. Additionally, a Deluxe Edition is also available with fun bonus cosmetics inspired by Han Solo, R2-D2, and Luke Skywalker.
