The modern-day pinnacle of the farming RPG genre is at it again. Stardew Valley is the biggest and, in my opinion, the best in this very specific game style since the classic Harvest Moon games. Stardew Valley has risen to massive success and seems to be forever growing on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It’s a game that never seems to get old and can be a completely different experience every time you play.
In Stardew Valley, your personalized character inherits a farm from their grandfather who has just passed away. They then move to the sleepy town of Stardew Valley and begin to rebuild the farm and live life the way their grandfather would have wanted. Through the course of the game, you will grow crops, tend to animals, fight monsters and build relationships with other villagers. I can’t even begin to describe how much there is to do in this game and with each in-game season changing gameplay, visuals and music, it always feels fresh and fun to play.
If you’ve never played this warm-hearted gem before then now is the time. Stardew Valley is now available on IOS devices and it looks just as good as it ever has on other platforms. You can be guaranteed to spend countless hours on the go just playing “one more day” to experience everything this surprisingly massive game has to offer.
Chucklefish Games have announced that an Android version of the game is also on the way but the release date has yet to be confirmed.
