On the 30th of June 2021, Suzuhara Lulu, a talent from the popular VTuber agency Nijisanji graduated.
For those unfamiliar with either Nijisanji or Suzuhara Lulu herself, please enjoy this brief explanation of the two of them. Nijisanji is one of the most prominent agencies within the VTuber industry. With over 100 members, Nijisanji is undeniably one of the largest entities in terms of scale.
While VTubers was initially a phenomenon that began within Japan, companies such as Nijisanji expanded into the global market, introducing branches in Indonesia, South Korea, China (although now dissolved), India, and the recent EN branch LazuLight.
Grauation Announcement
That s enough about Nijisanji though, the focus of this article is the recently graduated Suzuhara Lulu. Making her debut on the 1st of May 2019, Lulu debuted as a clueless girl from an all-girls school who didn’t know much about the world. However, she wished to learn more through her streams. At the time of writing this, she has 570,000 subscribers making her one of the more popular “livers.”
Originally she declared she would be graduating after a singing stream held on her birthday, the 24th of June 2021, just 6 days before her planned graduation.
Although she had announced her graduation, she asked her fans to continue supporting her right until the very end as she would continue her activities as usual.
Over the past two years, she played a huge array of games. One of the most notable being her 10 hour Ring Fit Adventure stream followed by a further 10 hours of Dark Souls. Another series of streams that should be noted was her Ghosts ‘n Goblins streams, as it was not only one of the first games she played on stream but also the last.
Final Streams
Capcom even reached out to express their gratitude for Lulu choosing this as the game she would play during the last few days of her VTuber activities.
“Welcome back to the world of Ghosts ‘n Goblins and good work on your final gaming stream. We at Capcom are extremely happy that you allowed Arthur to join you during your fun time with your viewers. We will continue supporting you during the little time left and even after that. Thank you so much!”

Lulu’s final stream took place at 06:00 PT (14:00 GMT). Although it was her last stream, being the kind person that she is, Lulu dedicated the prior half of the stream to show the work of her “mama” (the illustrator of her VTuber model), Saine.
This included a variety of previously unshown images and various new combinations for her VTuber model. This provided her fans with a slightly unconventional but more than the final welcome stream.
While Lulu was able to confirm that her videos will remain up for at least 6 months, she has mentioned that it’s possible that after this, her archived streams may be removed partially or in their entirety, so be sure to watch everything you want before it’s too late.
Final Departure
While on this topic, her Twitter will remain; however, she will no longer be updating it. She will also accept fan letters until the end of July, a month after her graduation.
Now for the key part. Why did Lulu choose to graduate? Lulu expressed that there were various reasons for her graduation. However, the main reason is that she was receiving numerous threats.
Although she said it would ideally be best to deal with them one by one, she worried that she would make her fans concerned each time she would take breaks to deal with these issues, so she decided to graduate.
Some fans were concerned with her physical condition as she was known to have some underlying conditions. Still, she reassured them that she was receiving treatment and that they were of no immediate threat and not the reason for her graduating.
To finish up, we would like to express our gratitude to Suzuhara Lulu as she provided many fun memories, and it was always entertaining watching her streams. We wish her the best wherever life may take her after this.
