It’s been over a year since since we got out last major news for Halo Infinite, and it’s been a long wait ever since. With only roughly a month until Xbox shows off its first-party games; 343 Industries released a new teaser trailer revealing that The Banished will be in Halo Infinite.
The new teaser trailer, titled “SIGNAL DETECTED, TAG DESIGNATION: FOE”, shows a blue UNSC comm pad receiving an anomaly transmission. As it receives the transmission, the comm pad’s screen turns red as a threatening voice of an unknown brute cuts through the static. It’s a warning; the Halo ring will be under their control, humanity will burn, and the Banished will rise; as the transmission cuts out with the Banished symbol taking over the screen.
Know Your Enemy
First introduced in 2017’s RTS Halo Wars 2; The Banished is a splinter organization that split and rebelled the Covenant during the Human-Covenant War. Atriox, the fierce brute leader, led The Banished to The Ark and gained control of it for quite sometime. Eventually, the UNSC Spirit of Fire showed up to the Ark and battled the fraction for control of the Forerunner Installation.
As of now, it is unclear if Halo Infinite will share any direct connections with Halo Wars 2 aside from The Banished themselves. Thankfully, the wait for more Halo Infinite news is almost over as Xbox’s First-Party reveal is just around the corner.
