After establishing itself as a beloved Third Person Shooter on PC and Console over the course of 7 years, The Division series is well known among gamers. Now Android and iOS players will have the chance to experience a Division title via The Division Resurgence.
With the release of the reveal trailer from Ubisoft on July 5th, 2022, players were given an idea of Ubisoft’s plans for the upcoming game. This included the setting, a return to Ney York City, with a few aerial shots of the varying boroughs. Additionally, there is a key voice line that tells us where in the timeline this game takes place; “..We fought to reclaim Manhattan, we fought to protect the innocent…”.
This means the story in The Division Resurgence takes place in between the two core games of the series. A new enemy faction was also revealed, named the Free Men, sporting some sort of DIY leather and plate armor with a menacing-looking sawblade crossbow.
A “Team Manifesto” was posted to the games website, with the intention of giving a broader idea of what’s to come. It features a few of the developers goals for the game, including why they want to expand to mobile, and reassuring us that it’s still the same gameplay players love.
The Division Resurgence Closed Alpha Testing
Ubisoft have opened the enrollment for a chance to participate in a Closed Alpha test of The Division Resurgence at a future date.
