A new Dragon Age title is in development by the game’s home studio, Bioware.
The teaser was shown during The Game Awards this evening after Bioware showed off a variety of new modes and systems available for their upcoming release, Anthem. What caught people’s attention was the official announcement that Bioware’s next project in development is a Dragon Age title. In the trailer, a voice closely resembling Solas from Dragon Age: Inquisition can be heard saying “So, You’ve found me at last, I suspect you have questions” before the official announcement was made.
No details were provided in the announcement, besides the fact that a new Dragon Age game is now being actively developed. At this time, it is unclear if the game’s story will continue immediately after Dragon Age: Inquisition. No details regarding the game’s available platforms or release details were shared at this time, but we expect to hear more information about the game closer to E3 2019.
Bioware is hard at work in completing Anthem, releasing for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC on February 22nd, 2019.
