Santa Monica Studios’ God of War won the Game of the Year award during Geoff Keighley’s The Game Awards 2018.
The game was up against a lot of real gems, including Marvel’s Spider-Man, Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Monster Hunter World, and even the independent title Celeste. Every title earned its moment in the spotlight, but the Playstation exclusive ended up taking the grand prize.
