Obsidian’s new game is called The Outer Worlds.
Announced during The Game Awards, Obsidian finally revealed what they’ve been working on for the last couple of years. The same developers that brought us Fallout: New Vegas are developing a new open-world role-playing game based in the distant future. It appears to take on the same aesthetic as Fallout, perhaps with a more… animated art style.
It was presumed that Obsidian’s new game would be an Xbox One exclusive, what with the news that Microsoft has purchased the studio during X018. That said, the end of the trailer revealed that the game would be released for multiple platforms. We should hear more information regarding the game’s release in 2019.
The Outer Worlds releases in 2019 for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
