The latest entry to the resource management franchise developed by Ubisoft Düsseldorf and published by Ubisoft has arrived! The Settlers: New Allies has launched on PC, with PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Amazon Luna versions currently in development. Pick a faction and set out to create your own bustling city in this new City-Building Real-Time Strategy game.
First released on the Commodore Amiga in 1993. The Settlers had unknowingly established itself as a long-standing City-builder franchise. With 11 games (and an anniversary edition) over 30 years, The Settlers franchise has managed to stand the test of time, while growing to support newer audiences.
The Settlers: New Allies breathes new life into the game series with all-new high-quality visuals. Along with adjusting a few of the systems to be more inviting to new and old players alike. The upcoming console versions will also mark The Settlers’ first step away from being a “Computer” game.
The player must choose from the Elari, the Maru, and the Jorn. Each with its own unique look, playstyle, and background story. When loading up a new match the player starts with just a small crew. Then you must gather resources, build farms for food, and then ensure to set up a military presence. Both being able to move offensively and maintain a good defence is key to survival!
With a story-rich campaign set in the world of The Settlers, an Online PvP (or AI) Skirmish mode with up to 8 players and a Hardcore mode built for those who want a challenge. There are tons of strategy-filled hours of fun packed into this game.
The Settlers: New Allies is available on Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store now.
